My specialty is the integration of wood & stone
sculptural elements into large-scale sited artwork
and architectural structures.
I began this journey
with seven years of formal sculptor training in Germany.
Since moving to Cortes Island in 1980
I have integrated the styles and materials
of the local First Nations' high carving culture
with my own european roots, with cubism,
and with the natural beauty of my island home
to develop my own style
and vision.
