Beach Wood Carving & Sculpting
Jul 13 - 18, 2008 at Hollyhock

Explore the enchantment of the wild through driftwood.

Begin each day exploring the driftwood path along the beach. Surround yourself with the elements of air, water and earth, and find inspiration among the stunning landscape of Hollyhock. Hone your carving skills and develop a restful body posture while allowing the creative process to reveal what lives inside the wood. Etch imagination into driftwood.

Learn to sharpen your senses—and your carving tools—as you develop your craftsmanship. Participate in circle talks, and use writing, drawing and photography to document and enrich your work. All levels of experience are welcome.

TUITION: $495 CDN (meals & accommodation extra), 5 nights
