ALPHA99'S TORVUS BORG POSTS

12.24.2004

51. PSI-Ops Impressions...
Impressions of PSI-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy. It's a decent 3rd-person shooter with a unique psychic concept. The last post of 2004 on to 2005!

12.22.2004

50. Gradius V Impressions...
Impressions of Gradius V. It's a great throwback to the classic side scrolling space shoot 'em up, but, with excellent graphics.

12.21.2004

49. My Bro Was Just Over....
...and we discovered a gem, 007: Everything or Nothing's Co-Op play. I again mention my 2k5 League, I'm up to 11 and 2 now.

12.21.2004

48. Got Some New Games....
I buy Gradius V and PSI-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy, mention little about them. My Brother is coming over to play some games.

12.12.2004

47. Worst Game Ever...
I rent NHL 2005, like it says Worst Game Ever... For some reason later on I end up buying it.

12.10.2004

46. Resident... Evil... FOUR!
I gush over Resident Evil 4 again and write an all out retrospective piece on the main Resident Evil series.

12.09.2004

45. Games on the back burner...
I'm not playing games and that bothers me, I get kinda personal in this one. This post turned out to be complely unwarrented, falling away from gaming, pffft.

12.04.2004

44. Resident Evil 4!
I talk about Resident Evil 4 and put it on my "First games to get in 2005" list. After I beat Tales I want to beat a bunch of games, little did I know, but I wouldn't finish ToS until March 2005.

12.01.2004

43. Doing some "other" stuff...
Not playing games, doing "other" stuff. This is the first time I mention my online NHL2k5 league and my 7 and 2 record, who knew that doing that well would get me kicked out eventually.

11.25.2004

42. 100% of Items in Metroid Prime 2 and more Tales Impressions...
I get 100% items in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and give more thoughts on it. Also more Tales of Symphonia impressions.

11.24.2004

41. Tales of Symphonia Impressions and Tom's Top 50 Games 4...
Impressions of Tales of Symphonia. Who knew how much I'd end up liking that game and my Top 50 Games 4 is released.

11.20.2004

40. 99% what a bummer....
I'm annoyed because I am missing only one item in all of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, it's a needle in a haystack!

11.19.2004

39. Mission Final!
I finish Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and give you walkthroughs on how to beat Quadraxis and the final bosses.

11.18.2004

38. Torvus Borg... I mean Bog... I mean More Echoes Impressions...
The post where I changed the name of the journal to Torvus Borg: Alpha99's Journal, later I'd smooth it out to alpha99's Torvus Borg. Oh and more Metroid Prime 2: Echoes impressions.

 ALPHA99'S Journal (Pre-TORVUS BORG POSTS)

11.17.2004

37. Metroid Prime 2: Echoes First Impressions...
The last post under the Alpha99's Journal title. Impressions of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Prime 2 was a great sequel, but it wasn't quite as stunning or as sharp as Prime 1.

11.16.2004

36. Playing the waiting (for) game...
Another post regarding waiting for games to get for my town, little did I know, I'd get MP2:E soon after I wrote this post.

11.12.2004

35. MP2: E Review...
GameSpot reviews Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, it's a 9.1, so I try to guess what IGN will give it, turns out I ended up only 0.1 off the IGN score.

11.11.2004

34. I Did it Again...
I finish Metroid Prime in 7hours and 30minutes, a personal record, so I decide to play through a 4th time to beat that time.

11.10.2004

33. What did I decide to do?
I decided that I would play through Metroid Prime again, this time going through as fast I possibly could.

11.09.2004

32. Finally! 2 Years in the making!
After 2 years of owning Metroid Prime, I finally complete it again and this time with 100% Items and 100% scans!

11.07.2004

31. Another Big Release and Gamespot Reviews...
Halo 2 gets reviewed by GameSpot and I talk about IGN and GameSpots reviews and how Greg Kasavin is my favorite GameSpot reviewer and a little blurb about my Top 50 Games 4.

10.29.2004

30. Wow! 17 Games this year!!
I list and discuss all of the 17 videogames that I bought so far in 2004. I also mention how I was able to get so many.

10.28.2004

29. Street Fighter Anniversary Collection
I discuss all the different aspects about Street Fighter Anniversary Collection and how disapointing it ended up being.

10.26.2004

28. Top 50...
A little write up about me working on my Top 50 Games 4 and how I've been keeping a list for 3 years.

10.22.2004

27. A bunch of Videogame-type thoughts...
A bit of talk on playing Metroid Prime again, Metroid Prime 2, me hating on GTA: San Andreas and talking about Halo2 and Street Fighter II.

10.20.2004

26. Finished Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door!
The first ever "Finished" article. This time I finished Paper Mario:TTYD and give my final thoughts on it.

10.18.2004

25. Paper Mario bringing back the Fun!
Paper Mario: TTYD makes me realize that, sometimes, games are too serious and need to lighten up a bit.

10.16.2004

24. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door!
Impressions of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. This game became one of my instant favorites.

10.14.2004

23. More with THUG2 and Other Gaming Stuff...
Tony Hawk's Underground 2 has a glitch and thinking about buying Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door as my 140th game.

10.12.2004

22. A weekend with THUG2!
Impressions of Tony Hawk's Underground 2. Probably the most fun I've had with a Tony Hawk game since THPS 2!

10.08.2004

21. My Thoughts on the Tony Hawk Skateboarding Games...
Probably one of the most detailed posts, that I made in the early pre-borg days, it's a detailed breakdown of what I thought about each game in the Tony Hawk Skateboarding series.

10.08.2004

20. Katamari Damacy and Finding Games in my Town Pt3....
A little more on Katamari Damacy and I guess I was wrong, yet, another post about finding games in my town.

10.05.2004

19. Wow! Katamari Damacy...!!!
Impressions of Katamari Damacy, it seems I like it. And my impression writing skills have much improved since the Burnout 3 impressions.

10.04.2004

18. OMG! I just bought Katamari Damacy
A post about buying Katamari Damacy and thinking about how crazy it was to do so. It wasn't crazy it was the smart thing to do.

10.03.2004

17. Finding Games In My Town... Part 2-many
A post about finding games in my town, I think this is the last time I complain about it... I think. Another post ending with me gushing about Burnout 3.

10.03.2004

16. Soon Playing: Volume 1.
A post about what games I looking forward to soon, featuring Tony Hawk's Underground 2 and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. I don't think I ever continued this series of posts, so Volume 1 is the only one.

10.02.2004

15. Now Playing: 10/2/2004
A post about what games I was currently playing they include: Metroid Prime, Burnout 3, NHL 2k5 and Metroid: Zero Mission.

09.28.2004

14. Speed Runs!!
I post about videogame speed runs and how insanely awesome they are and how you really should check them out. The address in this post was out dated, so I updated it.

09.27.2004

13. Metroid Prime and "New Game" Scent...
A post about watching videos on Metroid Prime and getting inspired to play it again, followed by how new games sometimes interupt re-playing or even finishing older games.

09.26.2004

12. Moody....
A post on how sometimes you get in a mood where you can't stand doing anything, even playing videogames. Followed by EVEN more gushing about Burnout 3.

09.23.2004

11. A few cool things....
A little list of cool things and just to balance things out a couple of not cool things. I really can't believe some of these pointless early posts.

09.15.2004

10. Burnout 3 and NHL 2k5 and Future Releases!
A short little post with me still gushing over Burnout 3, talking a bit about NHL2k5. Also pondering will NHL 2005 be any good and saying that I'll buy it next week.

09.13.2004

9. Can't write...
My skills at writing first impressions articles were lacking back in the day. Another pretty much useless one line post.

09.11.2004

8. Dear, Burnotut 3...
Probably one of most useless posts ever to hit the Borg, it's a single line "love letter" to Burnout 3: Takedown. What a wierdo.

09.10.2004

7. Still waiting for Burnout 3: Takedown...
A silly little post about me waiting for Burnout 3: Takedown to come. Get up at 8am, delivery shows up at 3pm. Get up at NOON, delivery shows up at 9am. Just another one of life's great mysteries.

09.09.2004

6. That Close!
A post about just missing the delivery of my FREE copies of Burnout 3 and about how I came about recieving the free copies. This was my Birthday, funny I didn't mention it.

09.09.2004

5. Finding Games In My Town... grrr....
The first of many posts of me complaining about how hard it is to find games in my little town and complaining about the price of Star Ocean 3, which I'd end up buying later in 2004.

09.07.2004

4. I guessed WRONG...
A little post about GameSpot's review score of 9.5 for Burnout 3 Takedown and how I guessed not quite right, about 0.3 below the score to be exact.

09.07.2004

3. Now Playing...
My first article about what I'm now playing, basically me raving about SSX3 and NHL Hitz Pro and the rare use of "LOL" in a Borg post.

09.05.2004

2. Just a little note...
2nd ever Borg post, The early Borg posts sure were small, Burnout 3 is out in 2 days and I need a new PS2 controller and Memory Card.

09.02.2004

1. Burnout 3: Takedown
The first ever Borg post, which actually isn't a Borg post, the Borg first hit the net as Alpha99's Journal, as for the post itself it's a tiny little write up on my predictions for IGN's and GameSpot's review scores of Burnout 3: Takedown (I was actually pretty close on both counts).
