 Gradius V Impressions...
 |
Here are my impressions of Gradius V after about an hour of play. I'll have my PSI-Ops Impressions later today...
GRADIUS V This is a really awesome game, simply put... It's old school shooter action at it's finest. The graphics are awesome, I can't believe how awesome they look, even for a pretty basic game like this. I've been a huge space shooter fan, since the NES-era, you know, with games like the first Gradius and it's spin-off LifeForce. So this game really tickled my nastaltia bone (if there is such a thing). Sure it's damn hard even on Very Easy, but it's so fun and so intense that you won't care, you'll just keep wanting to practice until you get that tricky part. It has a lot of features too, you can set up what weapons you take with you at the start of the game each weapon array has a different set of Multiples(AKA Options) that do different things. The first array has the option to lock the multiples, where as the second array allows you to manually aim the direction of the fire. It gives the game some stretagy. It also seems the longer you play the more continue credits you get, so eventually you'll get to the end. Thw two player is fun, but sharing credits is a bit annoying. That's all there is to say about Gradius V so far but I'll talk about anything cool here and I'll have my PSI-Ops impressions here tomorrow... Later! |
